Montgomery Boots Jefferson Davis' Name from Street, AG Threatens Lawsuit  

Montgomery, Alabama is facing a fine and potential legal action after it dropped the name of former Confederate president Jefferson Davis from one of its streets. So reports ABC News.

confederate flag gd58e4575b 640As such, the state’s attorney general said the city owes $25,000 for violating a law protecting memorials and monuments honoring the state’s history. The street was renamed in honor of Fred D. Gray, a civil rights lawyer who represented Rosa Parks and lived on the street in question.
