Civil War Gold At the Heart of Lawyer’s Efforts to Unseal Excavation Docs

Pennsylvania lawyer William Cluck is pressing the FBI to determine if the law enforcement agency found $400 million worth of gold buried during the Civil War. So reports The New York Post.

gold 513062 640To that end, Cluck is seeking to have documents unsealed pertaining to a 2018 excavation that might hold the answers. Cluck represents a treasure hunting company that believes they are entitled to a cut of any valuables found at the site, although authorities said they didn’t uncover any. Cluck and his clients, though, dispute that claim, prompting the legal action.
