Colo. Churchgoers Can’t Be Forced to Wear Masks: Judge

A federal judge in Colorado ruled two churches do not have to require congregants to cover their faces and do not have to limit the number of worshipers at their services. So reports CNN.

church 1081718 640The state set rules earlier this year pertaining to places of worship and ordered all gatherers to wear face masks. The judge said, though, “the Constitution does not allow the State to tell a congregation how large it can be when comparable secular gatherings are not so limited, or to tell a congregation that its reason for wishing to remove facial coverings is less important than a restaurant’s or spa’s,” reads court documents cited in the article.
