Texting a Driver May Result in Liability: N.J. Appeals Court

A New Jersey appeals court last week held that someone who sends a text message to a driver—and knows or has special reason to know that the driver might be viewing the text message while behind the wheel—may be held liable for an accident that the driver gets into while reading the text.
