Quarantined Ebola Nurse Sues NJ Officials

The nurse who was quarantined in 2014 upon touching down at Newark airport on her way home from treating Ebola patients in West Africa has filed a civil rights lawsuit claiming she was illegally detained against her will. So reports ABC News.

Kaci Hickox , 34, was a Maine resident who showed no signs of the disease when she was the first person quarantined pursuant to a strict, controversial Garden State policy for health workers who came into contact with Ebola patients. She was quarantined for more than two days. Hickox’s suit, which names several parties including New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, seeks $250,000 in compensatory and punitive damages.
