Racing fans upset about a multi-hour delay that interrupted the Las Vegas Grand Prix are filing a class-action lawsuit. So reports NBC News.

Liberty MediaThe event’s opening night featured only nine minutes of racing before Carlos Sainz Jr. damaged his Ferrari on a water valve cover, which led to an extended delay that pushed the event’s second session back to 2:30 a.m. the next day. The lawsuit, filed against the race and Liberty Media, its owner, was filed in a Nevada court and is seeking upwards of $30,000 in damages as fans were forced to leave after the incident.
