Court Sides with Catholic School in Legal Battle Over Teacher Fired for Being Unwed, Pregnant 

New Jersey’s high court said a Catholic school acted within the scope of its legal rights by firing an “unmarried pregnant teacher” who failed to “abstain from premarital sex.” So reports the NBC News.

cross 2713356 640The woman, Victoria Crisitello, worked as a caregiver for toddlers and taught art at St. Theresa School in Kenilworth, where she was hired in 2011. At the crux of the case were two forms signed by the ex-teacher agreeing to follow the ethics and norms of the Catholic Church, which does not condone premarital sex.
