Non-profit Files Lawsuit Against City of Akron in Response to Protest Policies  

A lawsuit was filed against the City of Akron by the Akron Bail Fund non-profit, which alleges the municipality used excessive force during protests surrounding the fatal police shooting of Jayland Walker. So reports a Cleveland 19.

bullet 408636 640The protests came in the wake of a grand jury’s decision not to indict the officers involved in the shooting. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
