Illinois Legislature Considering Lowering Drinking Age to 18  

Rep. John Cabello, of the Illinois state Legislature, proposed a bill to lower the legal drinking age in the state. So reports NBC Chicago.

alcoholic beverages g030124f88 640The proposal would lower the age to 18 from 21 via an amendment to the Liquor Control Act of 1934. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act was set in 1984, and that legislation called for a revocation of federal highway funds for non-compliant states.
