Fifth Circuit: Gun Law Restricting Those with Domestic Violence History Unconstitutional  

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled the government is not allowed to restrict gun ownership of individuals with a history of domestic violence. So reports the Associated Press.

bullet 408636 640The ruling comes in light of last year’s New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen Supreme Court case, which reshaped the way gun laws are now interpreted. As such, the court found the law restricting the ownership was an “outlier that our ancestors would never have accepted.”
