The plaintiffs represent some of the leading manufacturers of the life-saving drug, and as such are responsible for more than 90% of global insulin sales. UnitedHealth Group Inc’s Optum unit, CVS Health Corp’s CVS Caremark and Cigna Corp’s Express Scripts, which are all pharmacy benefits managers, were also named in the suit.

The state of California is suing Eli Lilly and Co, Sanofi SA and Novo Nordisk A/S for allegedly overcharging patients for insulin. So reports Reuters.
