Newly Minted Davenport Portrait Honors First Black Grad at UGA Law  

The University of Georgia School of Law unveiled its portrait of Chester C. Davenport, the school’s first Black graduate, in a rotunda ceremony last week. So reports UGA Today.

Georgia LawThe rotunda, which itself is named after the iconic grad, will also house the new painting. Some of Davenport’s family, including his daughter CeCe, were in attendance for the event.
