Changes to ABA's Law School Accreditation Rules Underway

A recent meeting of a committee dedicated to reevaluating the American Bar Association's law school accreditation guidelines yielded a recommendation that the ABA drop its "one full-time faculty member for every 30 students" requirement, according to the National Law Journal.

The committee also significantly increased the required number of credit hours of experiential coursework such as clinics, and opted not to take a specific position on the most heated dispute before it: security of position for faculty members.
