Google Settles Gender Discrimination Suit, Third-party Analyst to Review Pay Practices  

Google has settled a gender discrimination lawsuit filed on behalf of more than 15,000 female employees. So reports MarketWatch.

google 76517 640smallUnder the terms of the agreement, the tech giant will pay $118 million and a third-party economist will be hired to analyze the company’s hiring and pay equity practices. The lawsuit was initially filed in 2017 by three female employees who said the company gave similarly qualified men favorable treatment with respect to promotions and pay in violation of California’s Equal Pay Act.
