Mother Suing TikTok After Child Dies Doing 'Blackout Challenge'

Tawainna Anderson, the mother of a young girl who died while attempting the “Blackout Challenge” circulating on TikTok is suing the social media company and its parent company for their part in her death. So reports NBC News.

TikTokAnderson’s daughter, Nylah, 10, died while holding her breath until she passed out, ultimately leading to her death after several days in intensive care. Anderson is accusing the company of negligence, pointing to a “defective design” that exposed her daughter to videos featuring the challenge.
