Baldwin donated to McCollum’s wife only to later learn the soldier’s sister, Roice McCollum, is a supporter of former President Donald Trump and in Washington D.C. the day of the attack on the capitol. Afterwards Baldwin and Roice exchanged private messages before Baldwin made a post on Instagram about Roice before taking it down a short while later. Roice and the family say that following Baldwin's post, they were hit with a slew of scary and disturbing messages.
Roice says she never entered the capitol and was interviewed by the FBI and cleared of any wrongdoing..
