ABA to Allow GRE to Be Used When Assessing Law School Candidates

The American Bar Association’s Section on Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar voted in favor of permitting law schools to use Graduate Record Examination scores in lieu of Law School Admission Test scores. So reports the ABA Journal.

ABAThe change falls under Standard 503, notes the article, which requires schools use “valid and reliable” admissions tests when considering applicants. The Educational Testing Service administers the GRE while the Law School Admission Council administers the LSAT.
