DOJ Pushing Death Sentence for Boston Marathon bomber

The Department of Justice has asked the Supreme Court to reinstate the death penalty ruling for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev after a lower court vacated that penalty. So reports Fox News.

Dzhojar TsárnayevThe DOJ argued the court of appeals decision to vacate the death penalty sentence for the convicted Boston Marathon bomber was made in error. President Joe Biden previously noted he does not support federal executions and, when contacted by Fox, a spokesman said Biden's stance has not changed. The spokesperson also acknowledged the independence of the DOJ in such matters.
