Michigan Rep. Introduces Legislation to Limit THC in Blood of Drivers

Rep. Pamela Hornberger, of Michigan, has introduced a bill to set a limit in the state for the amount of THC allowed to be present in the blood of a driver. So reports WXYZ Detroit.

cannabis 1032119 640 smallThe legislation, HB 4727, would make it illegal to have more than 5 nanograms of the substance per milliliter of blood while driving. Some experts raised concerns that the law might contribute to false convictions, as the presence of THC in the blood lingers long after the effects of the substance have worn off.
