ACLU Sues Over Alleged Sex Abuse in California Homeless Shelters

The American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California is alleging conditions at several Orange County homeless shelters have not improved since a report last year lambasted the emergency shelters. So reports KTLA5.

“Sex abuse, overcrowding and unhealthy conditions” are among the allegations from the ACLU prompting a lawsuit to remedy the issues. Those named in the suit include operators Midnight Mission, Illumination Foundation and Mercy House Living Centers & Protection America.
