House Passes MORE Act Aiming to Remove Pot from Controlled Substance List

The House of Representatives passed a bill to federally legalize marijuana. It is the first time either congressional chamber has taken up the matter. So reports USA Today.

cannabis 1032119 640 smallThe MORE Act, which was sponsored by Rep. Jerry Nadler of New York, passed largely by party-line in a 228-164 vote. The bill would expunge certain marijuana-related arrest records and remove it from the list of federally controlled substances.
