Julian Assange's Lawyer: Trump Offered Extradition Deal

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s lawyer said President Donald Trump “indirectly” offered him a deal that would exchange the source of leaked documents prior to the 2016 election for a promise to avoid extradition to America. So reports Yahoo! News.

assange 5159725 640.jpegAssange is facing U.S. extradition and a number of charges, but has not revealed the source of leaked emails pertaining to the Democratic National Committee. The deal was offered during an August, 2017 meeting with Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and a Trump associate. Rohrabacher, who is no longer in congress, denies having spoken with Trump about Assange and said he was never directed to meet with him.
