Facebook $5B Privacy Settlement Rubber Stamped By Judge

The record breaking $5 billion settlement Facebook was ordered to pay due to privacy violations related to the Cambridge Analytica scandal has been approved by a federal judge. So reports The Hill.

facebook 3324207 1920A number of advocacy groups criticized the settlement for being too soft and sought to block its approval. The fine, which came at the hands of the Federal Trade Commission, is the largest in the history of the government watchdog entity.
