Black Guest Sues Portland Marriott Over 'No Party' Pledge

Felicia Gonzales, a black woman who checked into an Oregon hotel, is suing the Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/Convention Center for allegedly forcing her to sign a “no party” pledge even though other white guests were excused from the requirement. So reports NBC News.

pink wine 1964457 1920According to the lawsuit, Gonzales claims she suffered “embarrassment, frustration, anger, humiliation” and a “sense of increased vulnerability, and feelings of racial stigmatization” after her stay. She is seeking $300,000. A representative for the hotel chain declined comment on the suit.
