Hospital, Supplier Knew Fertility Freezers Would Malfunction: Lawsuit

A new lawsuit alleges Custom Biogenic Systems, which sold fertility freezers to University Hospitals, was aware their product would eventually malfunction. So reports Cleveland.com.

One such malfunction led to the loss of 4,000 embryos and eggs in a freezer tank at the Ahuja Medical Center. The lawsuit also states the hospital was aware of the potential problem in 2017 before temperatures rose leading to the loss of the biological products. The families spent $400 per month to store the eggs and embryos.
