Legal Troubles Continue to Mount for Sackler Family

Several members of the Sackler family with a stake in Purdue Pharma have decided to scale back their charitable contributions amid mounting lawsuits and negative publicity against them. So reports CNBC.

The company, and now some if its owners, have been named in recent lawsuits related to the deaths of opioid addicts in New York, Oklahoma and Massachusetts. Purdue produces OxyContin, a painkiller first made available in 1996.
