Spectrum 'Sabotage' Suit Against Union Tossed for Deficiencies, Lack of Evidence

A Manhattan judge threw out a lawsuit brought by communications provider Spectrum against the cable technicians union citing a lack of evidence and "legal deficiencies." So reports The New York Daily News

Spectrum alleged members of Local 3 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers intentionally sabotaged cable lines in an attempt to deny customers service. Local 3 has been on strike for more than a year.

A spokesman for Spectrum said the company is considering an appeal and noted there have been 135 reported acts of vandalism since the strike started in March of 2017, compared to four vandalisms in the three preceding years.
