Federal judges struck down voter selfie bans in New Hampshire and Indiana, and rules in California and Rhode Island have changed. There are laws against photo sharing ballots in 18 states. Six states ban photography in polling places, but permit pictures of mail-in ballots. There have been, though, successful challenges of the selfie bans in some places, citing concerns they suppress political expression.
