Lisette Bamenga, 33, killed her infant daughter and her 5-year-old son. She left a note blaming the father of the two children, saying that she had to act out and kill the kids because he fathered a child with another woman. The judge overseeing Bamenga’s bench trial held that she shouldn’t be charged with murder because she was too emotionally disturbed. Her sentence could range from as little as five years in prison to as much as 25 years behind bars.
