Lawyers Suspended for Encouraging Client to Change Story

Two Fordham Law School alumni who opened their own personal injury firm shortly after graduating have been suspended from practice by the New York Appellate Division for influencing their client to lie about where she was injured in a fall, according to the Legal Profession Blog.

 

After filing the fraudulent suit against the owner of private property that their client likely never even treaded, the attorneys conducted discovery and attended status conferences in the case for more than a year.
