Aunt Sues Nephew For Unintentionally Breaking Her Wrist When He Hugged Her

Jennifer Connell has sued her nephew Sean Tarala to recover for injuries she sustained when the boy, who was 8 years old at the time, jumped into her arms to give her a hug when she arrived at his birthday party. So reports the Associated Press.

Connell says she broker her wrist when the two fell because of the hug. A Connecticut jury dismissed the lawsuit after only 25 minutes of deliberation. The plaintiff was vilified on social media, but she and her nephew later appeared on television explaining that they are on good terms. Connell said she wanted her nephew's parents' homeowners insurance to pay her medical bills, but Connecticut law required her to sue an individual.
