The former pediatrician, 51-year-old John Brickman Wall, has been sentenced to 15 years to life for killing his now-deceased wife, prominent cancer researcher Uta von Schwedler, by drugging her and then drowning her in her bathtub in Utah, prosecutors say.
Police had initially ruled von Schwedler’s death a suicide, but the convicted murderer’s son, Pelle Wall, insisted she hadn’t exhibited suicidal behavior.
