Rick Perry Running for President Under Federal Indictment

Rick Perry, former governor of Texas, recently announced he is seeking the Republican nomination for president, although he faces federal charges related to abuse of power and coercion. So reports NBC News.

Perry threatened to veto funding for the state’s public integrity unit if its Democratic head didn’t step down amid drunk driving allegations. Perry said the case amounts to the “criminalization of politics.” Further complicating the matter, one of the judges on the case is a Perry appointee who has not rescued himself.
