Tenn. Reinstates 'Old Sparky'

Tennessee’s Republican Gov. Bill Haslam has signed into law a bill that allows Tennessee to electrocute death row inmates if the state can’t obtain the drugs necessary for lethal injection. So reports the Associated Press.

The drugs have become scare as the result of a European-led boycott of drug sales for executions. And, there has been a string of recent executions in the U.S. involving lethal injection that made headlines because the inmates didn't die quickly.
