New Child Abuse 'Failure to Report' Penalties

Connecticut is heightening the penalties imposed on teachers and other "mandated reporters" who fail to report child abuse. So reports ctpost.com.

The new laws impose up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine on people who qualify as mandated reporters and fail to report incidents that take place on or after the date when the laws take effect this week.
