Apple Store Workers Sue Over Unpaid ‘Bag Inspection’ Time

Two former Apple store employees have filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for the unpaid time they spent complying with the stores' anti-theft measures, according to the Associated Press.

The suit alleges that, based on the workers' hourly wage, the amount of time they spent waiting for their bags to be inspected after every shift amounts to $1,400 to $1,500 for every year they worked at the Apple stores. There is a chance the suit could be certified as a class action.
