In a case that might determine how aggressive lawyers may be in communications with potential defendants, attorney to the stars Marty Singer will appeal a Los Angeles judge’s decision that his 2011 letter to Big Brother contestant and VH1Famous Food host Mike Malin constituted extortion. So reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The letter, which Singer wrote on behalf of his client, Top Chef Canada judge Shereene Arazm, stated, "I have deliberately left blank spaces in portions of the complaint dealing with your using company resources to arrange sexual liaisons with ------------------. When the complaint is filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, there will be no blanks in the pleading.”
