Bike Path Killer's Attorneys: Rule Out Death Penalty Because of Trump

Lawyers for Sayfullo Saipov, who is accused of killing eight people in a New York City bike path attack, said President Donald Trump's tweets should disqualify the death penalty option in the pending case against Saipov. So reports PIX11.

The lawyers said Trump’s demands for the death penalty and politicization of the Justice Department are cause to rule out the punishment. A decision from Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding capital punishment is expected this month for the trial set to take place in October 2019.
