Canadian Alek Minassian Facing 3 New Attempted Murder Charges

Alek Minassian, the Canadian man linked to a misogyny group and accused of using a van to run over pedestrians in Toronto, will face three new charges. So reports the NBC News.

Minassian, who allegedly drove a van into a busy Toronto intersection killing 10 people and injuring 15 more, did not enter a plea. Minassian now faces 10 murder counts and 16 attempted murder counts.

Eight of the 10 people killed were women. Defense attorney Boris Bytensky insisted Minassian has no links to terrorism, but declined to comment on his client’s state of mind.
