Clinton Foundation Donor Settles in Terror Funding Case

Gilbert Chagoury, a substantial backer of the Clinton Foundation, settled a lawsuit with the federal government regarding accusations he was fundraising for a terrorist group. So reports Politico.

Chagoury, a Nigerian citizen, was allegedly denied a visa in 2015 due to the accusations and filed a lawsuit claiming he was denied his constitutional rights and suffered a damaged reputation. The settlement was approved by U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan.

As a result of the agreement, the government acknowledged Chagoury was never on any U.S. sanctions list and is unrestricted with respect to his business transactions.
