Judge Steps Down After Stealing Biz Cardholders

Napa County Superior Court Judge Michael S. Williams is resigning from his position after being caught on camera stealing art deco-style business cardholders. So reports the Associated Press.

He was censured by the Commission on Judicial Performance, which said his conduct “seriously undermined public confidence in the judiciary.” Williams was attending a dinner hosted by the matrimonial lawyers association in California last year when he was said to have lifted two cardholders containing the club manager’s business cards. The cardholders were worth between $30 and $50.
