Quartet Charged with Hate Crimes for Kidnapping Teen with Special Needs

A mentally disabled teen was kidnapped in Chicago by four suspects, each being charged with hate crimes based on the victim’s special needs. So reports The New York Daily News.

Jordan Hill, Tesfaye Cooper, Brittany Covington and Tanishia Covington were also charged with battery and kidnapping among other counts. The quartet is accused of holding the teen captive, threatening him with a knife and forcing him to drink from a toilet.

They recorded the ordeal on Facebook Live. Some questioned if race was involved in the crime, as the suspects are all black and the victim is white--and someone on the video is heard saying "F--- white people" and "F--- Donald Trump".
