Lawsuit Alleges Colts App Being Used to Snoop on Fans, Record Convos

A lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania claims an Indianapolis Colts team app is “systematically and surreptitiously intercepting consumers’ oral communications.” So reports The New York Post.

The lawsuit claims the app records all audio within range, including consumer conversations. Brought by Alan Rackemann, of Franklin, Ind., the suit names the Colts, app developer YinzCam of Pennslyvania, and LISNR of Ohio, which created the app’s technology.

LISNR’s CEO denied the lawsuit’s claims and YinzCam’s CEO said he expects his company to be dropped from the suit as the Colts moved to a new developer that added the features now being challenged. Rackemann’s attorney could not be reached and it is unclear how Rackemann learned the app was allegedly eavesdropping.
