Couple Faces Jail for Silly String Horseplay at Walmart

A Michigan couple is facing up to 93 days in jail or a fine up to $500 for refusing to pay for a few cans of Silly String at Walmart, where the cans retail for about $3 each. So reports MLive Muskegon Chronicle.

Samantha Christiansen, 26, and Derek Gomez, 24, allegedly emptied several aerosol cans of the product while squirting it at each other in multiple aisles of the store. After they refused to pay for the Silly String they used, the local sheriff’s deputy caught up with them and threw them in jail. Christiansen and Gomez are free on bond, but face retail fraud misdemeanors in the third degree.
